I began using oils in 2000 and am still learning how to use the medium. I’m still a work in progress and am very grateful for what I’m learning along the way.

Jimmy’s Python and Monster are based on images that my older brother, who died in 2019, had sketched on our basement playroom walls. He had created them for a neighborhood Halloween party in the early 70’s. I wanted to honor him and that great time of life!

And the little “ant-like” character in my stylized works represents me! I wanted to make this person nondescript, so that ANYONE can put themselves in the painting.
